Work
I have been in the MCPS since 2006. I have enjoyed being a part of the kids life. I have enjoyed being able to be home with the boys when they are home. I am now working temporary at the time for Dr. Myers dental office. I love this kind of work as strange as that sounds. I am at new place at my life. Zack is a senior, Dylan is a freshman,. They don't need mom as much these days. So trying to find things to do with myself as the boys get older. So besides work and my new pool membership I am so excited about, I am wondering what have you done to fill your time since your kids got older? My boys have been such a center of my world with sports and such even the job I have worked. I would like to hear your suggestions. :)

Hey Lisa! I know how you feel. I worked part-time when Ben started middle school and when he was a senior I started fulltime at the hospital. I really prayed about it and although it was hard it was a good decision. Ben didn't need his mom 24/7. When he graduated it was strange not going to the high school and not seeing him play sports. For me working full-time now really helps in not having him work during the semesters that he has classes. He works during the summer to make extra cash. Since he is out of high school now and we don't have to run to practices and such I have alot of spare time. It has allowed me to have friends over weekly for Bible study, work more at the church, spend time with my hubby and sometime just relax and read. I even started working in AWANA again, and what a huge blessing it is.
